Overview
Ready-to-use stabilized Cas9 mRNA.
Concentration: 1.0 mg/mL in 1 mM Sodium Citrate, pH 6.4.
Cas9 mRNA has been designed to produce high expression level of wild-type endonuclease CRISPR associated (Cas) protein 9.
OZ Biosciences mRNAs are produced by in vitro transcription and stabilized at the 5’ end by modified nucleotides capping (Cap1). These mature mRNAs contain a poly(A) tail at the 3’ end and are also optimized to yield improved stability and performance.
Cas9 mRNAs:
-
#MRNA30 does not bear any additional nucleotide modifications.
-
#MRNA31 is modified with 5-methoxyuridine (5moU) to reduce innate immune responses.
-
#MRNA25 is modified with N1-methyl-pseudouridine (N1-mψ) to reduce innate immune response.
Size: 20 µg, 100µg and 1 mg
Storage: -80°C

Applications
Cas9 mRNA is used to induce site-directed double strand breaks in DNA. These breaks can lead to gene inactivation or introduction of heterologous genes through non-homologous end joining and homologous recombination respectively, providing efficient tool for Genome Editing.
