Hematoxylin-Eosin Solution

Hematoxylin-Eosin Solution is the most commonly used stains for staining histological sections and cell smears prior to examination under a microscope in histology laboratories. WEXIS prepares and supplies the widely used Lillie-Mayer; Harris; Mayer Hematoxylin, etc., as well as both water and alcoholic Eosin Y solutions.

Features

• Hematoxylin solution is fuchsia, deposit-free, having a slightly pungent odor
• Eosin solution is orange-red or purplish-red, deposit-free, having a slightly pungent odor

The result of the staining

A stained typical tissue observed under the microscope at room temperature, nuclei are stained blue, whereas the cytoplasm and extracellular matrix have varying degrees of pink staining. Well-fixed cells show considerable intramuscular detail.

The storgae condition and validity period

• Storage conditions: To store indoor, away from direct sunshine, heat and wet, must be well-ventilated.
• Validity period: 12 months; the reagent can be used until staining result ineffective, then replace with new solution.

The Limitation of Use

The H&E solution is used in medical and scientific research institutions to stain pathological specimens. The staining results may differ from different users; methods and batches.
